What is “Optimize For Viewability” option?

Viewability data can help publishers increase the value of their display inventory. Optimizely A/B tests will indicate the high and low areas of viewability on your site so you can learn how to optimize your site and increase ad viewability.

  1. Test methods to keep ads in-view for a longer duration of time.
  2. Place ads near areas of the page with high engagement.
  3. Consider testing different ad sizes.
  4. Aim for ad spaces that are less cluttered.

First,Go to WordPress Admin Area -> AMP option panel -> Settings -> Advertisement -> scroll down a little to see this option

  • Optimize For Viewability: Once you enable this option data-loading-strategy=1 is added on source code like the below screenshot.

Note: According to the AMP standards – use this option only if your Ads are either 600px away from the top or not within the first 75% of the viewport.
