Infinite Scroll (autoload) Feature in AMP

Infinite scrolling is a web-design technique that loads content continuously as the user scrolls down the page, eliminating the need for pagination.

Here are the simple steps of infinite scroll.

The first thing you need to do is go to your WordPress dashboard and click on AMP option panel -> Go to Design -> Global -> enable this “infinite scroll” option and after that click on the “Save Changes” button.

  • Infinite Scroll (Experimental): First you enable this option infinite scroll will be displayed on your AMP pages.
  • Home & Archives: If you want to show infinite scroll in Home & Archives pages than enable this option.

      1. Hi Amar,

Google seems to index hidden content. Still, the general rule of thumb seems to be that content that isn’t hidden holds more SEO value than content that is hidden.

    1. Hi

While using the Infinite scroll feature, how is the second and third post selected? Is it basis the same category or tag or something else?

      Thanks

      1. Hi Nikhil,

Infinite scroll is displayed on the basis of the recent post

    2. implemented
it would be nice to have more control on how the next article loads

    3. Hi,

Is it possible for infinie scroll to be displayed based on category rather than recent post? In the newspaper theme by tagdiv which i’m currently using, there are several options such as the amount of posts that will load, the next or previous post and by category, tag or recent post.

In addition, this amp plugin currently duplicates the first post rather than immediately loading the next one.

This is the main feature that’s preventing me from using your plugin since the existing options I have offer better options.

      Thank you

    4. For my site, Google Analytics is not counting pages after the 1st page. Infinite scroll is working but it’s not getting posted. Is this fixed yet?

    5. Hi, what about this?

“amp-analytics is not fully supported this function.”

How can this be fixed? After a few years, I can’t see a solution for this and it’s important for infinite scroll.

      Thanks!
