How to add Favicon in AMP

A favicon, also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, tab icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons, associated with a particular website or web page. 

Follow the simple steps to Add Favicon in AMP:

Step 1: You can add a favicon or site icon from the WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize

Step 2: Click on the “Site Identify” tab.

Step 3: The site identity section in customizer allows you to upload your site icon. Simply click on the select file button and then upload the image you want to use as a site icon.

Step 4: Click on the “Publish” button.

    1. I followed the steps mentioned above and set up the favicon. One week later all my new AMP pages indexed in Goolge Search still display the defaul AMP black favicon. Any idea how I can fix this please?

    4. Well, I’m worried about something. I have added Favicon to my website. I have submitted a file that contains Favicon In my website File Manager from my website Cpanel.
      But the problem is, the Favicon I added that shows everywhere except Google Search Engine Result Page.
      I can see SERP show the WordPress logo instated of my Website Favicon.

      Can you please tell me what’s wrong with my website and what should I do now?
