How To Install & Setup bbPress forums for AMP

If you are adding bbPress forums in your non-AMP version ( Normal website ) and if you want the same bbPress forums in AMP. You can integrate bbPress forums integration in AMP with the help of an extension called bbPress forums for AMP. It’s pretty easy for you to setup because it works out of the box.

After downloading bbPress forums on your Desktop follow the below given steps.

Step 1 – Go to Plugins -> Add New then click on Upload Plugin.

Step 2 – bbPress forums for AMP is a Paid Plugin Extension. You won’t find that extension in the WordPress Plugin directory. So you have to upload this plugin after purchasing.

  • Click on Upload Plugin
  • then choose ” bbPress forums” Extension from which you already downloaded after purchase.
  • After that, Click on Install Now

Step 3 – After Uploading the plugin, Click on Activate Plugin.

Done! The Forum will be visible on the AMP version of your site.

First go to the WordPress Dashboard -> AMP option panel -> Settings -> General -> Need to select the forum and other custom post types in the Custom Post Type section and then click on the “Save Changes” button.

Note: This extension requires bbPress forums, which is a commercial plugin.

    1. Hi,

      AMP bbPress pages do not show a login/signup form. How can visitors create topics or reply?

    2. Also, the [bbp-register] shortcode does not work if the container page is flagged as “Show AMP”. And if the container page is flagged “Hide AMP”, then “too many redirections” happen.

      Conclusion: it is not possible to force AMP pages on a website with bbPress. Because the bbPress signup page is either blank, or in an endless loop.

    3. Just purchased there is no “WordPress Dashboard -> AMP option panel -> Settings -> General” , there is only WordPress Dashboard -> AMP option panel -> Setup” , I already purchased & activated BBPress addon.
