Thank you so much for the amazing love & support.  Today, I would share the current status of the development of AMP for WP plugin.

Recreating the issue

The users are using the AMP for WP and it is working fine without any problems.

However, there are some users who are using options according to their own use cases and only in some specific use cases, users are reporting redirection issues.

It is very hard to understand all the different user cases and exactly pinpoint the issue and then solve it. So, that is a big challenge and our team is working very hard on solving these issues.

The two big issues that we saw:

1. Too many redirection issues when Mobile redirection is enabled.
2. When we go to the AMP version of Categories or tags, they go back to the normal version of the site and in rare cases on pages as well.

What are we doing to solve this?

The biggest priority of our whole technical and user experience team right now are these exact issues.

We are working 12 – 15 hours everyday trying to talk to users on Github Repo, WP.org Support forum, Emails (we have tons of those), Skype Video calls, chat and phone calls just to understand the use case of each user who is having these issues.

The user experience team is talking to users and trying to pinpoint the exact issue and then forwarding it to the development team who is solving the issue with code and giving it back to user experience team to see if that fixes the issue for the user.

This process is lengthy and is talking time. We are hoping to get these issues solved within a week or two.
