Hey Guys,
First of all, thank you for watching today’s AMP Live Q&A Webinar Session. I’m really happy to announce today’s update. I was looking forward to adding this feature for a long time now.
Here is the highlight of this update
The highlight of this update is a feature that we call “Custom AMP Editor“. Which allows you to override your Content that you had written in Post or page, so you can add the different content just for AMP.
This feature is available below the content editor area, see the screenshot below
Use Case: If you are using any rich media or anything that is not getting validated or is not user-friendly in the AMP, then you can make the exact copy of that content which allows you to deliver a stripped down version of that rich content.
and the Changelog
- FrontPage had some validation issues. [Bug fix]
- Related posts in Design 1 we’re redirecting to 404 fixed [Bug fix]
As always, You keep reporting the bugs and we will keep fixing them
Can you add an option to add statcounter amp code ?
Here is the link to statcounter knowledge base with information about the code.

Hey Leonardo,
StatCounter counter is not added as built in at moment.
I have written this tutorial using this you can add other analytics on AMP, https://ampforwp.com/how-to-add-clicky-analytics-in-amp/

+1 for statcounter integration, it has some nice features that no other tracker has. 😀
Hey Peter,
We will add the support of Statcounter very soon. We have StatCounter in our feature list https://github.com/ahmedkaludi/accelerated-mobile-pages/issues/361 and will be added soon.
Thank you very much for your feedback.

Hi…
I am just testing your great feature rich plugin.
1) In Design One, can you please allow Next-Previous links in single?
2) Can we increase the number of related posts?
Hey Joseph,
I’m glad that you like this plugin,
Regarding the post navigation in the design one we didn’t added it because l we wanted to preserve the look of default amp plug-in, but we can be added, I’ll create a ticket in GitHub for this.
For increasing the number of posts, we don’t have any control built-in but in this update we are adding a filter from which we can modify the value.
Also I’m going to create a tutorial on how to increase the related post after this update.
Thanks,
Mohammed Kaludi

It is appropriate time to make some plans for the
future and it is time to be happy. I’ve read this post
and if I could I desire to suggest you some interesting things or
suggestions. Maybe you could write next articles referring
to this article. I want to read even more things about it!
Hey Mohammed,
This is a great feature of the plugin. The Problem is I can’t make the Custom AMP editor to work. It’s not overriding my default page.
Hey Ren,
Thank you for using our plugin, and I’m glad that it is working well for you.
Are you sure you have checked the above checkbox “Use This Content as AMP Content” like http://take.ms/Ehenz ?
Hope this helps.

Does using the AMP Editor drive more traffic to your website?
Hey Andrew,
This is a great question, the main usage of customer amp editor is if your current content is not looking good on amp pages or if you built the homepage with a pagebuilder that is not working nicly in amp pages then you can use custom amp editor to add content that will only be displayed on amp pages, so you can optimize the content according to the platform.
Do let me know if it replied your question.
