Configuring SEO in AMP

AMPforWP allows you to easily configure SEO in AMP. It is also compatible with Yoast, All in One SEO, and Rank Math SEO and etc.

Once you install and activate our AMPforWP plugin then we will have these two options

  1. Basic Setup View
  2. Advance Setup View

1. Basic Setup View

  • If you are using Basic Setup View then you need to choose 3rd Party Compatibility and click on View List  like below the screenshot.

2. Advance Setup View

If you are using Advance Setup View then you need to follow the below steps.

  1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to your sidebar. Head on over to AMP option panel -> Click on Settings option –> SEO

General

  • Meta Description: When you enable this option Meta Description will be shown on your AMP.
  • OpenGraph Meta Tags: Open graph meta tags allow you to control what content shows up when a page is shared on Facebook. We’ve all seen posts like these on Facebook.
  • Head Section: In this field, you can enter additional meta tags in the head section.

SEO Plugin Integration:

Select SEO Plugin: In this option, User can select SEO Plugin

Currently we compatibility with Nine SEO Plugin:

  1. Yoast
  2. All in One SEO
  3. Rank Math SEO
  4. Genesis
  5. SEOPress
  6. Bridge Qode SEO
  7. The SEO Framework
  8. Squirrly SEO
  9. SmartCrawl

1. Yoast

AMPforWP is fully compatible with Yoast SEO plugin.

To enable it in AMP, Go to Settings -> SEO in AMP options panel.

Meta Tags from Yoast: When you enable this option Yoast meta tag is shown in AMP.

Yoast Description in ld+json: If you enable this option Yoast description is shown on AMP.

Canonical from Yoast: Once you enable Canonical from Yoast option in Yoast canonical will be shown in AMP.

2. All in One SEO 

AMPforWP is fully compatible with the All in One SEO plugin.

To enable it in AMP, Go to Settings -> SEO in AMP options panel.

Enable  ‘Canonical From Aii in One SEO’ as shown in the above figure.

3. Rank Math SEO

It is also compatible with Rank Math SEO.

4. Genesis

It is also compatible with Genesis.

5. SEOPress

It is also compatible with SEOPress.

6. Bridge Qode SEO

It is also compatible with Bridge Qode SEO.

7. The SEO Framework

It is also compatible with The SEO Framework.

8. Squirrly SEO

It is also compatible with Squirrly SEO.

9. SmartCrawl

It is also compatible with SmartCrawl.

Advanced Indexing :

You can even use advanced index/no-index options of Archive subpages, Author Archives and Date Archives in AMP. The below picture shows the switches which allow you to select index/no-index in AMP.

URL Inspection tool compatibility option has always enabled this index in enabling in the google search engine.

If you disable this particular options then Google will not index that particular at archives pages
