This article is for AMP Theme Framework users.
Categories and Tags Component is for listing all the categories and tags available for any post.
The following are the steps to implement this component.
Step 1:
Archive Page support should be ON for this component to work.
You can ON the Archive Page Support from the Options – >Settings ->
General ->Archive Page Support
Step 2:
To initiate the support for the component in your theme just add the following code to the functions.php of the theme files.
// Categories and Tags list add_amp_theme_support('AMP-categories-tags');
This was the back-end part where we’ve just initiated, now to make it appear in the front-end follow the next step.
Step 3:
To display the Categories & Tags list we need to call it where we wanted to display it.
example: add the following code in single.php of the theme files.
<?php amp_categories_list();?> <?php amp_tags_list();?>
For the “separator” in between multiple tags and categories:
<?php amp_categories_list(',');?> <?php amp_tags_list(',');?>
with this, you’re successfully able to show Categories & Tags on your theme.
That’s it for this tutorial!
