If you are looking for a perfect and safe way to uninstall an AMP from your site then follow the below steps.<\/p>\n

Setup NOINDEX for AMP<\/span><\/h3>\n

This is an important step where we’re preventing Google to Index our pages.<\/p>\n

We’ll include a line of Code in the SEO Option of the AMP Settings.<\/p>\n

First, go to the WordPress Admin Area<\/strong> -> AMP option panel<\/strong> -> Settings<\/strong> -> SEO<\/strong> -> Enter code in Head Section.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a week or two, you’ll be seeing the reduction in indexing.<\/p>\n
Once they are down we’ll go to the next step i.e., Deactivate and Delete the plugin.<\/p>\n
Deactivate & Delete the AMP Plugin<\/h3>\n
first, deactivate the Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) Plugin from Plugins Panel.<\/p>\n

After deactivating the plugin delete it completely.<\/p>\n
This will remove the AMP from your site.<\/p>\n
Set up a Proper Redirection<\/h3>\n
How can you fix the 404 \/ page not found errors when you deactivate the AMP plugin.<\/p>\n
Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Download the free plugin called\u00a0Redirection<\/a>\u00a0By John Godley<\/p>\n
Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0After Activating go to\u00a0WordPress Dashboard\u00a0<\/strong>->\u00a0Tools\u00a0<\/strong>->\u00a0Redirection<\/strong>\u00a0and Setup new redirection.<\/p>\n
To setup new redirection, we need to setup 2 things Source URL and Target URL
\nSo in the source URL paste this regex code. \u00a0\/(.*)\\\/amp<\/code>
\nThis code will make sure all your post URL ending with \/AMP are taken as Source URL and will be redirected.<\/p>\n
In the target, URL paste this\u00a0https:\/\/www.yourdomain.com\/$1<\/code>\u00a0and make sure you enable the checkbox \u201cRegular Expression\u201d.<\/p>\n
Your redirection should look like this.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Hit Add Redirection and test it.
\nI suggest you to please check multiple amp pages and make sure they are working as expected.<\/p>\n
